Valenza is one of the world’s leading high jewelry hubs: a district that hosts some of the most prestigious goldsmithing businesses in the world, where the quality level of production makes every technological choice a critical factor.
In this context, the Orotig Open Day Valenza represented a concrete opportunity to put technologies, processes, and solutions to the test directly in the heart of one of the most important districts for high-end jewelry.
And it was precisely at our Valenza headquarters that the second appointment in a series of events launched last year in Italy took place, with a clear objective: to meet customers, allow them to test our technologies live, and provide dedicated training for operators through the direct support of our specialized technicians and industry professionals.
On June 8 and 9, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, our Via Tortona headquarters became a space for direct exchange and hands-on discussion: each company had the opportunity to test the machines on real applications, including with its own samples, and to speak directly with Orotig technicians to explore the most suitable solutions for its own production needs.
Working on high-value pieces raises a very specific question: how can absolute precision and constant control be guaranteed in every weld, and how can uniform quality be achieved even in the most delicate and complex processes?
This is where jewelry laser welding becomes a decisive technical lever for high jewelry, because it enables work with control, maximum precision, and repeatability even on complex details.
"Detail of the welding demo area at the Valenza office"
In fact, Orotig laser welders respond to these needs: designed to increase productivity in repairs and new high-quality work, they are built around proprietary SoftSpot™ technology, which ensures uniform, compact welds thanks to the even distribution of molten metal, even on delicate or already finished pieces, producing smooth, regular, porosity-free surfaces.
Repeatability translates into operational consistency from the very first weld, reducing setup times and ensuring a controlled process that is immediately productive.

When marking is performed on already finished pieces, polished, rhodium-plated, or mirror-like surfaces, every imperfection becomes immediately visible.
Orotig responds to this need with RR Pico, a 3-axis (XYZ) laser marking machine with ultrashort pulses and a spot size down to 0.1 mm.
The machine ensures ultra-precise, thermally unaffected markings even on mirror-polished or rhodium-plated surfaces, without burrs or burns, preserving the aesthetics of the jewelry and eliminating the need for rework.
"A client attends a live demo of the Pico laser engraving machine"
To support production, RR Pico integrates a coaxial camera for centesimal-precision positioning, a live camera that automatically scans the work area with every XY table movement, and a Pattern Matching function for automatic part recognition, even when several components are placed on the worktable at the same time.
Orotig’s patented casting systems ensure fast, direct casting, reducing defects and porosity generated by other systems and improving the structure of the piece.
For those looking for compactness without compromising versatility, Prometheus is the ideal casting machine, capable of casting gold, silver, and platinum. Its automatic tabletop configuration makes it especially interesting for workshops that also handle custom production or small batches.
"A client closely follows the explanation of how the Prometheus casting machine works"
For intensive production, the range expands with Helios for gold and silver and Ackeron for platinum: in both cases, the result is a smoother, more compact structure, even on complex geometries and thin sections.

All systems are designed to be immediately operational: intuitive interfaces and preset programs simplify process management, with automated cycles and controls designed to simplify the operator’s intervention to the sole tilting of the casting chamber.
Opening the doors of one’s own headquarters follows a precise logic: production technology must be evaluated in operation, not merely described. Especially in high jewelry, where every metal, every thickness, and every detail can change the final result, seeing the machine at work makes it possible to assess performance and potential with far greater concreteness.
That is why each company had the opportunity to directly interact with our technologies, bring its own test pieces, and exchange views with our specialized technicians.
More than 20 companies participated in the two-day event, confirming that hands-on testing, using their own parts on actual machines, makes all the difference and is crucial for evaluating the performance and reliability of our technologies.
The June 8 and 9 2026 event was the second appointment organized in Valenza, after the first event at the Verona headquarters: a growing path that reflects Orotig’s desire to bring its technologies directly into the districts where the people who use them every day operate.
Whether it is a small goldsmith workshop or a large high jewelry company, the goal is always the same: to evaluate the right technology in the right context, with the support of those who know it in depth.
This is the value of the Orotig Open Day: transforming a technical demonstration into a moment of operational exchange, training, and informed choice.
